Dear Mustangs,

Can you believe October has already come to a close? This month has flown by, with so many fun learning activities and events. We loved celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month together, sharing fun fall-themed activities, seeing the bright smiles on picture day, and welcoming kids back from field trips with big smiles. Even capping it off with a surprise power outage today–we sure have had a fun month! Thanks for checking out our dates and details shared below!

  • 11/4 Conferences, no school 
  • 11/5 Staff Only Day, Election Day- No School
  • 11/5 SCO Bake Sale (during the election, in the gym)

School Wellness Policy Annual Communication 

Students learn better in healthy schools with healthy staff. The MMSD Wellness Policy outlines a unified and collaborative approach to creating holistically healthier environments for students and staff. Policy language includes requirements on seated lunchtime, recess, nutrition standards and menus, smart snacks in schools, water access, healthy celebrations, rewards, fundraisers, staff well-being, marketing in school and more. Advanced Learning Family Handbook

We are excited to share the new District Advanced Learning Family Handbook with you. This comprehensive resource is designed to provide clear and informative guidance on Advanced Learning services across our district. We hope It is a valuable tool for understanding Advanced Learning at MMSD. The handbook will also be posted on MMSD’s Advanced Learning webpage.

Use School Cafe to Manage Your Child’s School Lunch Account

MMSD is using the service School Café to connect families to MMSD School Nutrition.

  • Apply for Free or Reduced Meals
  • View School Menus
  • Make Payments
  • View Purchase History
  • Receive Low Balance Alerts

To create, you will need your student’s ID number.  Please reach out for this information if you are unable to locate it.
