Gallery: MMSD Middle Schools Face Off at the All-City Track Meet
Over the course of an afternoon more than 20 events were held for eighth grade students to let them experience what a track meet will feel like when they get to high school.
Competition was fierce across every event, but the camaraderie between athletes from different schools set the tone for the day.
“It’s been really fun, I got to meet people from all these different schools from all over the city,” Wright eighth grader Ariel Zongo, winner of the boys 400 meter dash and 4 x 100 relay said. “But winning made it 10 times better — to see all the changes I’ve made in training pay off is awesome.”
